The Activity Squares are situated around the jamboree site. Every square has an overall theme. No registration is needed for these activities, so you and your scout/guide buddies can visit the different activities whenever they are open and have room for participants.
The activities are made to fit age groups. The activities are made for guides/scouts age 6 to 10, age 11 to 12, age 12-16 and finally age 16-23. Some activities will be open to all age groups. The activities will be open at different periods, depending on the other jamboree activities.
The creative workshop, where you can make different creative activities.
Our crafts workshop, where you can learn different crafts and tools.
This is our gastronomical workshop, where you can do camp cooking in different ways.
Our challenging workshop, where you can go, e.g. sailing on a raft or go tree climbing.
Our green workshop, where we will be exploring nature’s many options for learning and activities.
Our tech workshop, where we combine guiding/scouting and technology.
During the jamboree, there are many activities aside from the ones on the activity squares. These activities are spread all over the jamboree site and will be announced in the week programme.
We will fill your week with small and large events, which you can take part in as you want. The different events will take place in different parts of the jamboree site, some will be for a specific age group only, others will be for all. Older guides and scouts (age 12 and up) can look forward to our version of the Danish television programme "Nak & Æd". Here, our cookery experts will help us bring nature into the camp kitchen.
Day for Age 16-23
The rovers are invited to participate in the activity ”Rovers out of the jamboree site”. The activity will take around 24 hours, where you join with your troop in a rally with obstacles.
Vendelbo Jamboree celebrates its 10th anniversary. We will be celebrating with a special day event, focusing on the theme ”because we are many”. We will arrange activities where you get the chance to meet guides and scouts from the other groups. You will also get to go on anniversary activities, eat cake and party as only guides/scouts can.
Official camp opening & ending
All guides/scouts and leaders are invited to the Jamboree Opening and Closing ceremonies. This will take place at the Arena.
Following tradition, we will have an evening service at the Jamboree open to all. We have invited the local priest, Lise, who is also a guide in her spare time. It is usually a cosy, rather informal evening event where we meet when the jamboree is quieting down, and the moon and stars are slowly appearing.
